On-Line Entries for Teachers
You are about to visit a part of the Watford Festival website which is restricted to those teachers who will be adding Festival entries on-line. To access this area, you need to enter your username and password, which will have been provided to you by the Speech and Drama Section Secretary.
Note: At present, this facility is only available for teachers of Speech & Drama; music teachers will be catered for in a future year.
The online entry system is supported only on certain browsers: If you are using Internet Explorer you must have a version more recent than 6.0, if using Mozilla Firefox, you must have a version more recent than 2.0. The system has not been tested with other browsers (such as Safari, Opera or Chrome) and may not work with these browsers. Although the system has been designed to work with recent browsers, limited development time and resources mean that it has not been possible to test the system with all versions of recent browsers.
If you have not used this system before, or if you have forgotten how to use it, a demonstrative walk-through on usage of the online entry system is available here:
Demonstration/Walk-through of Online Entry
In order to keep your username and password confidential, this site uses encryption to ensure that only you and the site know your username and password.
In order to protect you from sites which might be purporting to be the Watford Festival website, your browser (a program such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, or Safari) takes special actions when encryption is used. It interrogates this website (in a way which won't be apparent to you) to see if this really is the Watford Festival website. We assert that it is, but the browser has no conclusive proof of this.
As a result, when you access the login page to enter your username and password, your browser will display a prominent warning to the effect that there is a problem with the website. The exact wording of the warning depends on your browser.
Please don't be put off by any warnings about the website's trustworthiness, and proceed to the login (even if you get a warning). If you do have any doubts, please contact the Section Secretary for reassurance.
